Our waitress was Carley and she was kind, knowledgeable, and quick to serve. We were there on a Tuesday evening and was taken right to our table. There was three of us, myself, my wife and my adult daughter. We started things off with cream of crab soup and the wagyu meatball. Both were excellent. The meatball was so big we took half of it home. My wife & daughter got the crab cake platter and were not disappointed. Filled with chunks of crab and just enough filler to keep it together, it was very tasty. I got the scallops, pan seared with ponzu shitake brown butter sauce. They had just the right carmelization on the outside and the sauce was the perfect compliment. We also had a side of Brussels sprouts which were flash fried and drizzled with some sort of sauce and tossed in seasoning. If you are not a fan of Brussels sprouts, trust me, these are the best you will ever have. I had a lemonade and the others had just water. Our bill was $173 before tip so it is pricey, but I think worth it if you are looking for great seafood while in Maryland. I would definitely return.
Husband and I randomly happened on a Thursday at lunchtime. It was surprisingly packed for a workday, but it appeared that a lot of professional lunches were occurring. We immediately were seated outside at a high top table right along the water. Our server, we believe Michelle, was extremely attentive, proactive and very friendly. Being that it was a hot day & lunch, we both opted for a salad. My husband saw another patron eating a salad that looked delicious and the waitress indicated that it was a Cobb. It turned out to be the best Cobb of his life. It was super fresh, delicious and the highlight was the fried oysters. I had a blackened chicken Cesar and it too was exactly what I wanted & needed! A few drinks & beautiful views made it a perfect lunch! Overall it was a delightful lunch and we highly recommend!
We had a stellar experience at The Choptank. Our server’s name was Sean. He provided prompt and attentive service during our dining experience. The food was DELICIOUS. My wife dined on the Chilean Sea Bass. I had the Chesapeake Rockfish. Both were topped with Crab Imperialism. Get the Brussels Sprouts! They were really tasty. We really enjoyed the Choptank. The weather was GORGEOUS. Be prepared though: On a busy day, you may have to wait in line to use a restroom.
i had a good time. the food was wonderful and the drinks were perfect. our waiter dylan was great. and ryan (i think he was the manger) was awesome too. we sat on the deck and it wasn’t too noisy. i would definitely go back.
We chose The Choptank for our wedding-day dinner, and it was nothing short of perfection. The restaurant sits right on the Annapolis Harbor, and somehow manages to match the beauty of its view with every detail inside—from the warmth of the staff to the precision on each plate. The menu itself tells a story: the Native roots of the Choptank name, the Greek family heritage behind the brand, and the legacy of quality that carries through every dish. You can taste the care and investment behind this place; it’s elevated without pretension. We began with a spread of appetizers—crab cake, Brussels sprouts, calamari, wagyu meatball, corn pudding, and Maryland crab soup—and each one was incredible in its own way. The crab cake was a masterclass in balance, the meatball rich and deeply savory, and the corn pudding… pure comfort. For dinner, the scallops and branzino were both exquisite, finished with a ponzu-shiitake brown butter sauce that deserves its own line of poetry. Dessert was no afterthought: a berry cheesecake and a salted caramel brownie crowned with vanilla ice cream—each one flawless. I tried to savor every bite, though it was hard not to devour them outright. It’s rare to find a restaurant that feels this genuine and this refined at once. The management made our evening unforgettable, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. A perfect ending to a day that meant everything to us. Five shining stars.
Nice restaurant off the water. Has a outside seating area upstairs and down. It is best to make reservations because this place had a line with a 20 to 30min wait. We chose to be seated upstairs outside where we were able to get seated sooner and see the boats and other events. It was so hot we chose the salads. It was so hot todaysalads was a good choice. The vegetables was fresh and crips. The Atlas and grilled chicken ceaser with lots of cold water. Service was fast our watier Byran K was super attentive and friendly he made sure we had what we needed. This is a friendly family atmosphere the view is beautiful. Plenty of seating space and open bar area. I plan on returning soon and try something else on the menu Lots of seafood dishes and something for the children. Please enjoy the video and pictures.
We came here for a business dinner. I ordered the cream of crab soup and a filet mignon. Both were exceptional. The atmosphere was great - nothing like eating on the water with yachts parked in front of you. The service was fine - not bad, but not as exceptional as I would expect. I definitely recommend and will be bringing my family here in the future.
Choptank was pretty good. Just finished up there. The wait was 45 minutes, but a trip to the bar makes it seems like less. They have outdoor and indoor seating. It's right on the bay so the view is nice. The food was excellent. It could be a a little pricey depending on what you get, but nothing too crazy. The service was nice as well. I'd recommend it to whoever is in the area.
